Lazy Man's Update: Giving Thanks

Just wishing everyone of you pencil-necked geeks...a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We give thanks that you purchased a copy of Bamn #1 and Bamn #2! Right? Right? Right!??!
(Shameless. I know.)

Happy Turkey Day,

Troy

Fail Boat

Jay's computer (fresh off the addition of a Wacom tablet) died this past weekend. A virus hit his hardrive, causing his Alienware to commit seppuku. Thank, God, he backs up his hard drive on a regular basis.

What does this spell for Bamn #3? A minor setback. Jay is working hard on re-building his computer (same size, just as strong, not necessarily faster). I'm still sticking to our unofficial release date of February 2010. (see what I did there?)

In other non-news, last week I did a small redesign to www.BamnCan.com. Nothing earth-shattering (same great taste), I just went and cleaned up some of the more important sections on our blog. I'm a bit O.C.D. about clutter, so I trimmed some of the unnecessary links, opting to go for less is more.

You can now find clearer links to the preview pages of Bamn #1, Bamn #2, and Crystal Clear #1 on the right sidebar, including more pages to preview (just click the cover image) . Our subscribe button is also featured prominently on the sidebar, as well as, a revised version of our "About the Creators of Bamn," a new version of "About Bamn," a clear list of the different blog labels, and re-links to purchase Bamn and Crystal Clear (apparently, the old links we're broken).

Click around. You have no excuse to not buy anything now. Well, except that recession nonsense.

See you next week,

Troy

Props to Comixpress for Giving Us Props

I caught this a bit late, but wanted to share...
Comixpress.com (Bamn's home for Print-On-Demand) was recently featured on Cerebus TV. Cerebus TV is a internet video show by Dave Sims. Sims is an indie comic God and his work on the comic book called Cerebus is the stuff of legend in the world of small press.
Cerebus TV is intended to regularly highlight independents, a move that is much needed in light of Diamond Comic Distribution's recent decision to limit certain self-published titles.
At the Small Press Expo back in September, The Bamn Crew had an opportunity to sit down with Comixpress' head honcho Logan DeAngelis (and one of the main guys at ButtonMonkey.com) . Honestly, we couldn't ask for a better group of people to be involved with. Expect BIG things from Comixpress in the near future.
The Cerebus TV video details the inner-workings of Comixpress and, coincidentally, features a few glamor shots of Bamn #1 and Crystal Clear.

Preview Art for Bamn #3

I've been dropping the fact that we are almost done with Bamn #3 for about two months.
Really!
Don't believe me?
Well...
Artist Jay Payne has been re-doing most of the pages for Bamn #3 since he got his shiny new Wacom tablet. The damn thing is space-age, allowing Jay to draw everything on his computer screen. Jay can even rotate it for accuracy.
Visually, the comic has undergone some changes in the last year, but I think the style that the Wacom will provide suits the book well. These pages seem to indicate the interesting things to come.
